THREE CENTURIES, THREE COMPOSERS, THREE WORLDS
Maestro Michael Laus will be conducting the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in the second programme of the Chamber Orchestra concert series, which has been put together specifically for the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana.
The concert will be held on the 12th and 13th February at 7.30pm, and will feature violinsit Agnieszka Kuźma as a soloist, who will be performing three works by three individual composers.
Igor Stravinsky’s Concerto in D for strings will kick off the programme, followed by Mikołaj Górecki’s Concerto Notturno for violin and orchestra. The concert will come to a close with Franz Schubert’s Symphony Nr 5.
Mro Laus has guest-conducted a number of prestigious international orchestras, and also performs regularly as a pianist and harpsichordist.
Agnieszka Kuźma has been a member of the MPO since November 2014. She’s a graduate of the Music Academy in Wroclaw, and has also obtained a Master of Arts from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels where she studied under the tutelage of Professor Katalyn Sebestien. She is also a member of The World Orchestra.
