The Great Big Radio Show!

The MADC is delighted to present this affectionate pastiche of the typical 1930s musical comedy, with a gloriously tuneful score by  Philip Glassborow.

New York, 1933 – a top rated variety show is about to go on the air – LIVE! But the star ain’t here yet……The producer, the bandleader, the P.A. all have to keep the show on the air…hoodlums are after their missing gat, mistakenly picked up at a speakeasy by a young singer/violinist…the sponsor decides to stay and watch the show – what else can go wrong? Plenty……..

BUT!  A  waitress gets swept off to sing, a legendary movie star agrees to sing – the hoodlums get their gat back and everything ends happily.  Well, it is a musical comedy, after all….!

Directed by Polly March. Starring Alan Montarnaro, Katja Brauneis and Joseph Zammit, with Nicola Azzopardi, Katherine Brown, Alexander Gatesey-Lewis, Luke Saydon, Justin Mamo, Michael Mangion, Andre Mangion, Mariele Zammit, and Geoff Thomas as The King of The Keyboard!

With Vocal Coaching by Cathy Lawlor and Choreography by Alison bird, you will sing and tap dance your way out of the theatre!
