This summer Add more colors in collaboration with Coloured Festivals and Sliema Local Council will bring the very first Sliema Street Art Festival which will transform the Sliema Promenade into a melting pot of art, dance and music with artists, locals and visitors enjoying the weekend side by side. Attracting a wide range of world class street artists and many local and foreign upcoming artists will transform the beautiful promenade of Sliema into an art piece. Throughout the Sliema Art Festival every object is an opportunity to create a piece of art, from benches to bins, skips, telephone boxes, trees and anything that may tickle an artists fantasy.

Anyone can participate in the Street Art Festival, regardless of age, citizenship or education, the only prerequisite is quality and vigour. Artworks can include traditional graffiti artwork, sculpture, stencil graffiti, sticker art, wheat-pasting and street poster art, art intervention, guerrilla art, and street installations.

“This event will be a show of creativity and free expression.”

All artists will be accompanied by musical jamming sessions, cultural food stalls, live performers. A Charity wall will be setup where all passers-by can join in and paint together in aid of charity. A kid’s area will allow children to decorate their own public playground.
