BOBAN MIRKOVSKI AT TEATRU MANOEL
Macedonian pianist Boban Mirkovski will be gracing Teatru Manoel with a piano recital on the 15th March at 8pm.
In this recital, Mirkovski will be performing the Toccata Op 7 in C-Major by R Schumann, Hungarian Rhapsody by F. Liszt, piano works by leading Russian Composer Aram Khachaturian, Serbez Donka – a piano piece based on traditional Macedonian folk combined with classical and jazz music by Macedonian composer Damir Imeri and Piano Sonata by 20th century Russian Composers– Dmitri Shostakovich.
Mirkovski has performed in numerous concerts in Macedonia and abroad, and has won several awards. Among his most prominent performances have been a concert in Boskovice (2007), Czech Republic, a concert in San Daniele, R. Italy (2007), and a concert in Washington DC, USA (2011). He’s also taken part in many of Simon Trpceski’s concerts, several solo concerts in Macedonia and also as a soloist in concerts with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra (2011, 2012). He also was part of some of the most important FMA and State music school concerts.
He has attended several master classes with well known professors, such as Zeni Zaharieva (Bulgaria), Jokut Mihajlovic (Serbia), Fulvio Turissini (Italy), Agathe Leimoni (Greece), Tomoka Kaishige (Japan), Boris Romanov (Macedonia) and others. He currently works as a piano professor at SMBEC Ilija Nikolovski – Luj in Skopje, and achieves many prestigious awards with his students.
