THE ADDOLORATA CEMETERY
The Addolorata Cemetery and Chapel were designed by Architect Emanuele Luigi Galizia, who also built the Turkish Cemetery in Marsa. With its intricate stone carving, monuments neo-Gothic chapel soaring from what was once a prehistoric burial ground, the Addolorata Cemetery is one of the wonders of Maltese architectural heritage and is also considered one of the great cemeteries of the world.
