5th Edition of the President’s Charity Run / Walk 2013
Join us for the fifth edition of the President’s Charity Run / Walk from San Anton Palace in Attard to The Palace in Valletta.
It will be held on Sunday 1st December. The start is from San Anton Palace at 10.00am. From there the participants would proceed down Triq Birbal towards Birkirkara Bus Terminus. Then they proceed to Fleur-de-Lys roundabout in Sta Venera. From there they would turn left and proceed down St. Joseph High Road, Sta Venera and downwards towards Hamrun. Going through Hamrun they would proceed towards Blata l-Bajda and up the road towards Floriana. The participants would then pass through St. Anne’s Street Floriana, and on reaching the War Memorial would turn left towards City Gate and proceed down Republic Street and to St. George’s Square, Valletta. Those wishing to walk the route rather than run it, will commence from near Casa Leoni in Santa Venera at 10.00am.
HOW TO APPLY – One can apply for The President’s Charity Fun Run/Walk by filling the online form. Application forms can also be collected from all Banif Bank Branches (Attard, Fgura, Naxxar, Qormi, St. Julian’s, San Gwann, Siggiewi, Rabat, St. Paul’s Bay & Victoria Gozo).
ENTRY FEE: €10RUN / WALK NUMBERS (BIBS) & T-SHIRTS Run / walk numbers and T-Shirts can be collected from any Banif Bank Branch on presentation of ID Card and after payment is affected. Swapping of bibs is strictly prohibited. All participants must wear their assigned Number (Bib) during the fun run/walk. Only those in possession of the bib will be eligible to collect the Participating Certificate at the Finish Line in Valletta.
PREPARATION It is strongly recommended that you train for the run / walk and prepare for the challenge. If you have not exercised for some time, consult your doctor for a check-up. If you have a medical condition, please obtain advice from your doctor about whether you should participate in the Fun Run be it as a walker or runner.
