Teatru Malta’s final production for 2018 is going to be GawGaw, a panto in the dark to be staged at the Esplora Planetarium Hall. Written and directed by Marta Vella and Vikesh Godhwani, GawGaw promises a treat to all those who are looking to experience something completely different to anything that’s been done for Christmas. The performances will happen in complete darkness and bridge the experiences of people with and without visual impairments. For this, the panto enjoys endorsement of the President of Malta Marie Louise Coleiro Preca.

The Maltese myth of the GawGaw is brought to life through the sound design of Mario Sammut as well as the voices of its stellar cast including Chucky Bartolo as Dame, Samuel Farrugia as Principal Boy, Davinia Hamilton and Joseph Zammit – all of them performing live. Hearing their voices, the audience will be able to make out who’s who.

The shows will be taking place between the 19th and the 23rd of December and be an hour long. Bookings are on the official website or by calling 21220255.
