An open call for an interdisciplinary production has been announced by the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in collaboration with the Malta International Arts Festival.

The chosen application that will involve theatre, dance, music and new media will be granted €10,000 inclusive of VAT will be awarded to the chosen application. The production should link one or more of the themes of the Presidency – Migration, the Maritime Sector, Security, the Single Market, European Neighbourhood and Social Inclusion – and the final project will be presented during the Malta International Arts Festival 2017.
Applicants should submit a brief description (1 page A4), names and biographies of leading artists involved, and a production budget by not later than the 15th March. Late submissions will not be considered. An independent jury will select the production from the submissions by the 23rd March.

Applications are to be placed in an envelope marked ‘MIAF + title’ in the application box at the Arts Council Malta, 16 Casa Scaglia, Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street, Valletta.
