Some may find it hard to imagine a Maltese fashion brand being sold as far afield as Japan, South Africa and New Zealand. But that’s exactly what Gagliardi – the local brand created and distributed by Bortex Group – has achieved with triple-digit sales being achieved year-on-year and an increasingly-global following. And now, thanks to the launch of the company’s state-of-the-art new e-commerce platform, that success is set to soar even higher.

“Selling suits and tailoring online is no easy feat, but we believe this new platform will enable us to reach out to more customers than ever, in a more effective way than ever,” says company director Sam Borg.

“Aside from providing our customers with a vast range, easy-to-select sizing options and in-depth information about each garment, our online personal shoppers will also be able to have direct contact with users in real time, creating a very personalised experience that will help to guarantee satisfaction and exceed expectations.”



As a multi-lingual platform, this new website will continue to help Gagliardi reach out to its key markets in the USA, the UK and Germany, as well as beyond in Australia, Chile and Asia. However, despite its expansion, the brand will still say true to its personalised and customer-centric approach, using methods that will stand out in today’s fast-paced cyber environment. “For instance, handwritten notes will accompany every order, as a ‘thank you’,” Mr Borg continues. “We’ll also be monitoring feedback very closely, thanks to our unalterable ratings channel Feefo, which will ensure we have a precise understanding of what our customers think.”

Beyond that, other key decisions have been taken to drive the brand in 2017, which promises to be a milestone year for Gagliardi. “We recently signed a collaborative deal with Rolls Royce & Bentley, which will continue to underline Gagliardi’s position as a luxury gentleman’s brand. In addition, we will also be working with GQ Magazine and the Gentleman’s Journal in the months to come, both of which will provide key links to fashion-forward clients all over the world,” he adds.
