Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa is proud to announce its newly acquired title of Malta’s Leading Hotel, which was awarded at the 23rd annual World Travel Awards 2016, held at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia on the 4th September 2016.
Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa is the original flagship of Corinthia Hotels, which had opened in 1968. With its 150 rooms adjacent to the Presidential Palace in the opulent town of Attard, the five-star Corinthia Palace exudes grace and historic charm.
In November 2015, the hotel hosted a banquet during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, which was attended by The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, the former UK Prime Minister David Cameron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa also hosted Malta’s first Artist in Residence Programme in April 2015. Organised in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, Canadian ‘magical realist’ painter Tom Forrestall spent two weeks on the Maltese archipelago to create a collection of water colours featuring Malta’s diverse historical and natural landscapes, entitled 18 Days on Malta: A Closer Look at 7,000 Years of History in Words & Paint.
“This award recognises Corinthia Palace as the island’s leading hotel, and we’re extremely honoured to receive this accolade. We strive to make our guests’ stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible with quiet and spacious rooms, first-rate spa and lounging facilities, an excellent selection of restaurants and bars, and five-star service every step of the way. Our guests feel revived and rejuvenated upon departure, so we know we’ve succeeded,” said David Woodward, General Manager of Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa.
At the 2015 Awards, Corinthia Palace had also won ‘Malta’s Leading Spa Resort’.
