Survivors Malta is pleased to announce that it has finally been granted the official status of NGO, promising to take their work to the next level.

The voluntary organisation currently has three working projects that are geared towards helping families who are facing trauma. After teaming up with JCI Malta and successfully collecting the necessary funding, works will soon commence on the construction of a Reunited Pet Cabin at Mater Dei Hospital, which will serve as a designated area for patients to meet up with their pets, and where pet therapy sessions can be held.

The Survivors Malta 2017 Calendar will also soon be printed and distributed, containing twelve outstanding photos of survivors sharing their joy of celebrating a second chance at life. The calendar is to be sold not only to raise funds for the L-Istrina campaign, but to also spread inspiration.

More recently, another project titled Youths with Challenges – Stepping Stones has been initiated, in an effort to create a social circle that will help socially challenged teenagers better integrate after their trauma.

Survivors Malta’s new found status as NGO will help them raise funds to implement future projects based on the past experiences of families that have lived through trauma. Together, we can and we will make a difference.
