The innovative UK designer Sam Selby has a passionate creative streak, one that landed her the National Arkwright Scholarship for Design at just the age of 15.
This had been the catalyst that led her to later receive an Honours in Design Management, which encompasses all types of design as well as management skills – a winning combination to be a successful entrepreneurial artist. She has extensive experience within marketing, branding and business.
Sam recently featured in the Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week 2016 with the launch of her new line, The Sirena Collection. The bright and bold statement pieces are crafted from sea sediment, and each holds its very own unique pattern and shade. The designs are a balance of ergonomics and aesthetics, as Sam believes that each is as important as the other.
Each necklace sits and frames the collar bones, so that they accentuate the natural lines of the wearer. The Sirena Collection is set in either sterling silver, or gold plated silver, allowing versatility to the wearer to create a statement look for any classic or understated outfit.
The Sirena Collection was once again celebrated in a photoshoot set at MedAsia Playa, where model Lorena Jaramillo shows off a number of statement pieces by the designer. The photography was carried out by Bernard Polidano, with make up by Natasha Polidano, styling by Dorianne Mamo, and outfits by Accessorize, Malta.
The Sirena Collection is available to all those who enjoy donning a bold, distinctive creation at a click of a button.
