Now that summer is almost here, you’ll probably be wanting to soak up the sun or barricade yourself in an a/c environment. This will possibly end in dry hair, but with this simple DIY hair mask, you can keep your locks looking lush at home without having to use store-bought hair masks that might be full of nasty chemicals!
1 ripe avocado
1 tbs of honey
2 tbs of olive oil
Mash up the avocado in a bowl with a fork, and then add the honey and olive oil. Blend it well together and apply to your hair, focusing on the ends where your hair will be at its driest. Use a comb and run it through your hair so that the mask is equally distributed. Feel free to tie your hair back to avoid any messy scenarios.
For maximum effect, place a plastic bag over your hair and leave it to work its magic for a good 20 minutes. It’s best to do this mask when you have time and you’re not in a rush, and ideally, it should be left on for an hour.
Wash your hair to remove the mixture. Hair masks can be applied to damp or dry hair, but they should be used before your shampoo and conditioner. Try to make a fresh mask no more than once a week.
