Maltese rock fans are about to go absolutely wild with this announcement.

On the 29th July, the legendary classic rock band Uriah Heep will be performing live at Ta’ Liesse at the Grand Harbour in Valletta.

Uriah Heep are considered to be one of the bastions of classic rock, alongside Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple.

Songs like The Wizard, Easy Livin’, Sunrise, Sweet Freedom, Gypsy and Look At Yourself remain some of the most iconic anthems of the rock genre. Generation after generation of fans have continued to appreciate this band’s music, and to date, they’ve sold over 40 million albums worldwide.

Uriah Heep have maintained their presence as performing artists for over four decades through constant global touring, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Over the last year, they’ve filled arena-sized venues in the Balkans, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia and Scandinavia.

To make this gig truly special, and a homecoming of sorts, Uriah Heep’s keyboardist extraordinaire is Phil Lanzon, who is of Maltese descent. Maltese bands Crux and Nomad Son will be the evening’s supporting acts.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at €20 and can be purchased here. This concert is being organised by the festivals division of Arts Council Malta and is supported by the Malta Gaming Authority and Hard Rock Café.
