Not only are avocados delicious – especially with eggs and toast – but they are also packed full of nutrients, making them ideal ingredients for face masks. Save money by making your own 100% natural mask, instead of splashing out on expensive store-bought versions which are probably full of harmful chemicals as well.

Avocados are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and also contain vitamin C. They’re also extremely moisturising without clogging your pores, rendering them suitable for all face types, even those with sensitive skin.

Here’s a nourishing recipe for an avocado, honey and yoghurt face mask.

You will need:

½ avocado
1 tsp organic honey
1 tsp plain yoghurt


Step #1 – With a fork, mash the avocado in a small bowl.

Step #2 – Add the honey and plain yoghurt into the bowl and combine all the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth.

Step #3 – Apply a thick layer of the mixture onto clean skin. Allow the mask to work its magic for about 10-15 minutes. To remove, use a warm face cloth to gently remove the mask and then finish with a splash of cool water.

Step #4 – Apply your favourite moisturiser.
