Sad news: earlier today, popular musician Prince died at his Paisley Park estate, in Minnesota, USA, at the age of 57.

Born June 7, 1958, Prince Rogers Nelson, known as Prince, was an American songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist. He was one of the most famous names in the pop industry for over thirty years.


Prince became an international superstar in the 80s, with albums such as Purple Rain and Sign O’ the Times and he will be remembered for his statement outfits, eccentric performances and impressively wide vocal range.

He sold more than 100 million records during his career and recorded more than 30 albums.

In 2004, Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which said he “rewrote the rulebook”.
