The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Quintet is currently rocking its rehearsal halls as it prepares to entice its audience members with their latest concert.

Members of this quintet have built a diverse, fresh and appealing repertoire for this event, which will be presented as part of the RSH Chamber Music concert series. They will perform Paul Abraham Dukas’ Fanfare, arranged by Wayne Barrington, Giovanni Gabrieli’s Canzon Per Sonare, transcribed by Graeme Page, Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, arranged by Kris Dorsey; Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, arranged by Jeff Tomberg; Reuben Pace’s Mini Suite for Brass No. 1, Ruben Zahra’s Logħba, and Joseph Vella’s Pezzo per Quintetto d’Ottoni Op. 55.

The MPO Brass Quintet consists of Kevin Abela and Stephen Murphy on trumpet, Marco Cola on the French horn, Dennis Camilleri on the trombone and Paul Borg on tuba. They are a nationally acclaimed ensemble that has been delighting audiences with music of great variety while exhibiting their technical expertise and musical flexibility.
