Here’s one way to stop yourself from biting your nails.
The Libertine Fall/Winter 2016 saw models donning fur nails on the catwalk, courtesy of Jan Arnold, style director and co-founder of CND nail polish.
We were pleased to find out that the fur used for this style is in fact faux-fur. Perhaps it was Arnold’s way of celebrating the announcement of Disney’s remake of Beauty and the Beast. We’ll never really know.
A simple top coat gloss was used to adhere the fur to the models’ brown and tan colour-painted nails, and was simply one of many outlandish and daring trends on this very liberal catwalk.
Interestingly, women spend quite a substantial percentage of their lives removing body hair from areas where it’s perfectly normal for it to grow. Now, designers are sticking the fake kind onto areas where it’s not meant to go. What next? Pube transplants in our eyelashes?
Oh, what a weird and wonderful world we live in.
