21-year old Brandon Terribile is passionate about writing, acting, cooking and travelling. He’s an outgoing person and tries to make friends with everyone he meets. “Every day, I try to laugh and make people laugh, as I believe that laughing with whatever comes up is a natural medicine that must be consumed every day.”
Brandon has been involved in theatre and television for the past 7 years. He initially started at school, and then joined community theatre group Teatru tar-Raħal. There he learnt so much from so many actors and directors, both amateurs and veterans. In fact, he still endorses those memories.
“My first acting job was on a television series called La Famiglia. Later, I joined Curtain Raiser Entertainment and played the clumsy teddy bear in a children’s television show called L-Imqarbin. I was also part of the cast of Dar-il Waħx for 5 editions, which was a street theatre production for Halloween produced by Mr Patrick Vella. Later with Patrick, I took part in two award-winning short films – The Elected, in which I played Judas, and The Breeder, where I played the victim.”
Last year he joined the family of Becky. “I refer to it as a family because it literally is a family. This year, we’re filming the second season, although it’s not quite about Becky’s stories. For me, taking part in Becky is a beautiful dream that I don’t want to wake up from, as I’m so grateful that I was chosen to play the part of Owen. I would really like to thank Eileen Montesin for believing in me. However, every beginning has an ending, and I aspire for more new exciting ventures in my career,” states Brandon in this interview.
How do you nurture your acting skills?
From time to time, I try to attend short courses overseas in London, so I keep on training and achieve new skills. “Learning is never a waste of time.”
Are you a good cook? What’s your speciality?
I am passionate about cooking, especially baking. I bake something every month. Cooking relaxes me. I think pastry sweets is what I make really well.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
What would you never, ever buy?
An insect dish. First of all, I’m afraid of bugs, and this type of dish really doesn’t tempt me at all.
