Only a few days to go now before the final night for the Miss World contestants!

The ladies are all ready and set for the most prestigious event organised by the Miss World organisation. This year will mark the pageant’s 65th edition which will be held in Sanya, China.

No less than 160 contestants from all over the world will be participating this year. They’ve gathered together these past few weeks, sharing special moments which will be cherished for the rest of their lives.

Every year is a different experience for every lucky girl that forms part of the event, which gathers thousands of beauties from around the globe.

This year’s project is entitled Beauty With a Purpose, which has raised millions through hard work and dedication from all the participating countries. The winner of Beauty with a Purpose will be announced during the final night of Miss World, and will be awarded to the hardest working beauty.

Besides this prestigious title, other activities will be organised for the contestants, such as Miss World Top Model, Miss World Sports Women and Miss World Talent, so this will give the participants a chance to showcase their talents as well.

Malta will be represented by the beautiful 25-year old Katrina Pavia from Gozo. Katrina had won the title of Miss World Malta last May at the Pjazza Teatru Rjal. The event was organised by Modelle International under the organisation of Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja who are also the licence holders of Miss & Mr World.

Katrina is looking forward to the final night after so much hard work and effort. She’s got plenty of drive and is enthusiastically taking up challenges. She has prepared herself very well for this beautiful experience.

We look forward to seeing Katrina alongside billions of televiewers. A special thanks goes to all her sponsors for their constant support, Nilara for providing all her designed dresses during her stay, and the beautiful designed dress to be worn on the final stage designed by Nilay Camilleri and the custom made shoes by Desiree Del Duca.

We would like to wish Katrina the best of luck!
