Speaker Dr Anglu Farrugia and Fr Martin Micallef viewing some of the exhibits

An exhibition of works of art was officially opened by Dr Anġlu Farrugia, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

These creations will be auctioned off on New Year’s Day during the 20th edition of the Feast of Generosity, organised by RTK4Charity in aid of Dar tal-Providenza. At the exhibition that is taking place in the foyer of the Parliament Building in Valletta, there are around eighty works of art donated by various Maltese and foreign artists.

Fr Martin Micallef, director of Dar tal-Providenza, praised and thanked these artists for donating their works and urged the public to view these exhibits, as well as bid for one or more of these during the auction. The public will be able to view beforehand these works of art between the 15th and 23rd December. Viewing will be between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday, whilst at the weekend, doors will be open between 9am and 1pm.

During the Feast of Generosity, they will then be displayed at Dar tal-Providenza. All those wishing to bid for the works of art may do so online between the 15th December and 1st January. On New Year’s Day, there will also be the possibility of bidding by phone on a number that will be displayed on TV screens during the broadcast on main local TV stations. One may also visit the hall at Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi.
