On the 27th and 28th November, Kafena will be presenting the launch of their debut album, Lukanda Propaganda, at the Robert Sammut Hall in Floriana.

Kris Spiteri has joined forces with Daniel Cauchi to record the album on a contemporary platform. The songs, written and composed by Spiteri, are lyric driven.

The album is partly influenced by both the current Maltese and global social and cultural situations. There are also songs which reflect some personal and interpersonal circumstances.

The artwork for the album’s booklet was designed by Steve Bonello, who has carefully sketched a drawing that describes each song.

This project also had the privilege of working in collaboration with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in the recording of the album, as well as in a live performance for the launch of the album. This venture was sponsored by the Malta Arts Fund.

Doors shall be open at 8pm and the band, alongside an ensemble from the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, will commence the concert at 8.30pm, playing the whole album live.

Tickets can be bought from ticketline.com.mt at €15 (price includes a copy of the album).
