Can you guess these local singers from their childhood snaps?
You’ve seen them on TV, you’ve heard them on the radio, and you’ve probably voted for them during local festivals. However, while some of these local singers have been around for many years, a lot of us might not remember them as toddlers and children.
Amber Bondin
Our most recent Eurovision Song Contest representative looks super cute in this clown costume!
Angela Spiteri
Pulling funny faces is Angela’s signature move! In fact, she’s so good at it that she never bursts out laughing.
Anna Azzopardi
Anna was still a baby when this photo was taken! How times have changed.
Christine Camilleri
Check out Christine’s first two baby teeth! Remember all that itching? Hopefully not…
Claire Caruana
Unlike most of us, Claire seemed to be excited for school!
Dario Bezzina
Before singing at festivals or joining the Animae Gospel Choir, before making it to primary school even, this is what Dario Bezzina looked like!
Debbie Scerri
Check out this photo of the Let Me Fly singer as she pretends to make a phone call.
Diane Portelli
Mysterious and strong, Diane has always had that one-of-a-kind look!
Fabian Galea
Fabian loves being loud, but he just looks angelic here.
Glen Vella
Corduroy was all the rage when this picture was taken!
Ian Tirchett
Some things really do last forever, including Ian’s super cute cheeks!
Jackie Pace Delicata
Who knew Jackie had blond locks even as a child?
Janice Mangion
Janice really doesn’t look super pleased with her Carnival outfit…
Josef ‘Zep’ Micallef
Whether he’s sunbathing or off to a gala event, Zep always looks dapper.
Josef Tabone
What dreams are made of! A budgie sits on Joseph’s shoulder, looking rather relaxed.
Leontine
Her famous smile shined through even as a child.
Louisa Frendo Wirth
Always the poser. If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
Mark Bartolo
Photographed while wearing our Carnival outfit in public. We’ve all been there and we all loved it. Right, Mark?
Nadine Axisa
She hasn’t changed a bit!
Pamela
Pamela was probably teaching this teddy how to sing.
Rachel Fabri
Always the joker.
Rhiannon
Posed photos are no mean feat when all a child wants to do is rush off and play… But check out those ruby-red cheeks!
