People shop for various reasons. There are those who shop only when the need arises. Maybe they need to cater for a particular lifestyle, they need more work clothes or have to prepare for a special occasion.
Then, there are those who shop because they love every aspect of the process. They get a buzz from going round in shops, trying out items, matching colours, getting things at a bargain and they get addicted to the satisfaction of going back home with a trunk full of stuffed bags overflowing with items.
If you are one of the latter, then you know the inexplicable bubble of excitement that you get when you go by a shop with a ‘SALE’ sign in the window. You know that you cannot hold back and will go in and browse around even though you may not necessarily ‘need’ anything. The best way to describe it is by comparing it to a siren call, in this case to shop. A call that you cannot ignore or walk away from.
Nowadays, even if you do try to stay away and avoid going by shops, websites daily send out promotional messages showcasing a new product or a discount code that is only valid for a short period of time. If you love shopping, then purchasing online might not satisfy your cravings which require immediate satisfaction of achieving the ‘prize’ but online promotions still call out to you daily.
Do you hear the siren call to shop when you get an email with discount codes or showing a variety of new products?
