A lot of people are unaware as to what a difference good make-up application can make.
Many people spend lots of money on getting their hair done each week, their nails every few weeks and they splurge on expensive clothes, and then, these same people completely dismiss make-up, some barely even bothering to apply any.
Wearing the right make-up is as important as wearing the right pair of shoes. Whilst wearing a bright top can brighten up your appearance, there’s nothing like the right colour and amount of blush on your cheeks to truly brighten up your complexion. I can sympathize, knowing that learning about make-up can seem a bit daunting at first, all those brushes, all those products – where to start from?
Well one of the best places to start is by attending a personal make-up session, lots of shops and make-up artists provide these and in each of them you are given the chance to apply the techniques learnt on yourself, meaning you don’t just watch, you really get to learn how to do it. These courses are therefore an excellent starting point and can get you started on at least learning how to apply a basic everyday look.
Once you’ve mastered this, more sessions, of course, can be attended so as to learn more complicated looks, but you can also simply watch videos and read articles. We’re lucky enough to live in an age where lots of make-up artists and make-up bloggers post video and article tutorials teaching us how to apply different looks, most of them are really detailed and go through all the steps thoroughly, making it possible for even absolute beginners to understand and follow.
Remember, buying good brushes and long lasting make-up is a must, there’s no point in learning how to apply it and then using cheap make-up that will slide off your face an hour after application. Also, using the wrong brushes can really screw up the application even if you have the right technique.
So for all those women out there who shy away from make-up… it’s time to learn something new!
