Under-Eye Circles: Natural Remedies

Fear not… there are solutions to under-eye circles and this article will delve into the natural remedies that you can use without breaking the bank!

Cucumber slices

Yes, this totally works!! Place a slice of cucumber over each (closed!) eye. Make sure that it extends over the darkened area. Do this daily, coupled with lying down for around ten to fifteen minutes.

Tea Bags

Applying cool tea bags or an ice cube wrapped in a soft cloth to your eyes will also help reduce swelling and discolouration in the eye area. This should preferably be done in the morning. Lie down and place cool and damp decaffeinated tea bags over your closed eyes for about ten to fifteen minutes.

As funny as this may sound, place one uncooked potato in a liquidizer and liquidize all of it. Then, lying on your back, place the puréed potato on your closed eyes and keep it there for 30 minutes. Be careful not to get the potato in your eyes – so keep your peepers shut tight. Then, wash it all off with warm water.

Frozen Spoons

Place a spoon in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Take it out and gently cover your circles with it. Hold it there until the spoon is warm again.
