Miss Malta 2013 has ended. And it ended with a bang – a brilliant final night held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre organised by Studio Seven. All the contestants looked absolutely fantastic! The improvement in the girls’ walks, poise, composure, posture and overall appearance over these past few months is astounding.
Over the course of the evening the girls modelled material fashioned into dresses created by Gaudi, a leather and grunge fashion show, and of course the final gown show, which were both styled by Marisa Grima, the stylist of Miss Malta.
At a point in the evening the contestants wore the traditional black dress and walked out on stage where, to demonstrate their character, they were each asked to answer a question. Tensions ran high throughout the night and there was a lot of fretting going on backstage and even some petty arguments. However, everything ran smoothly and a great job was done by all.
The winner of the night was Jade Cini, Miss Valletta. She was crowned by Bojana Boric, ex Miss Serbia. The two runners-up are Miss Zurrieq, Mandy Micallef and Miss Sliema, Natalya Galdes. Mandy Micallef now holds the title Miss Republika.
Guests at MCC were also treated to a wonderful concert by renowned Italian singer Valerio Scanu.
