DJ Christopher Brown is originally from South Africa and has been in Malta for quite a few years. He has a huge love for music that makes him feel positive and alive. He was encouraged to play his first live gig at a S2S party in 2006 and enjoys it immensely every time he gets up to play. He has three genres of music he has focussed on – Deep House, Tech House and Commercial radio friendly type tracks.
“I love to spend hours and hours looking for remixes that are not usuallyplayed. I’ve played on a regular basis in a few clubs in Paceville such as Monaliza (PV & Valletta); Klozet, XO Lounge, Long Island, Chandelier, Hugo’s Shadow Lounge, 5th Avenue, Teasers, Playground and Places and in a few of the big parties in Tattingers, Buskett Road House, Gianpula. I have a guilty pleasure of finding remixes of some old classics and playing them in my sets alongside the new tracks. I feel it brings back good memories and pleasures”, stated DJ Chris Brown in his interview with RAMONA PORTELLI.

Do you wear boxers or briefs? Why such preference?
Hmmm I wear briefs. Like the way I pack my DJ equipment, I prefer a tighter fit to hold my equipment in place without the chance of flapping around.
What would you never buy?
I probably would never buy a pink mini… too impractical and far too camp :P
Describe the best moment of your holiday so far?
Well, I’ve been here for more than 7 years now and I think the best moment I experienced was when I played live for the first time at a party at Buskett Gardens event.
Are you a good cook? If yes, what is it that you do really well?
I love cooking when I can. My favourite dish to make is a South African dish called “Tomato Bredie”. It’s like a beef stew with a thick tomato sauce base filled with potato’s and carrots and served on top of a fluffy bed of white rice.
What do you prefer:- women or cars? And why?
I actually prefer men the most. I appreciate the beauty of women and the practicality of cars, but I don’t get turned on by either.
What are your views on plastic surgery?
Well, well, well – if you asked me this question a few years ago I would have answered that people should just be happy with the way they are, but now I might have wavered a bit from that view point. Inside me I have a very young heart and mind, but my body is starting to move towards my age and this starts putting thoughts and ideas into my mind as to whether I need to slow this process or not.
