Is it me or do people tend to roll their eyes as soon as you mention the Kardashians or other reality TV stars?
Well – keep rolling because there is a reason why these people become stars despite doing ‘nothing’. Is it their looks, money, designer wardrobes or fancy cars?
No, the reason why I and so many other people become fascinated by these shows is simply because they share their lives so openly.
It’s not because they are born more interesting, it’s simply because we often get to know them more than the people we meet every day.
When I include a reality star in a discussion I often get a sigh or sarcastic look but you know what? If we all talk and act as open-heartedly as they tend to do, I wouldn’t even have to switch on the TV.
We learn from seeing other people interact, sharing problems and happy moments – because even though their lives appear more glamorous we still have the same thoughts and issues at the end of the day.
Sure, whether Kim Kardashian has butt implants or not, may not be the most important thing we learned that day, but both Khloe Kardashian and Giuliana Rancic sharing their infertility problems and how they deal with them, might actually have made a very important difference in someone’s life, not to mention Giuliana’s battle against breast cancer.
I always wonder why people make themselves duller than they actually are – why they pretend not to have worries or problems, why seeking help seems to be the hardest part, or even sharing something which made them feel special and beautiful.
No one is perfect, not even E-Channel celebrities, and they don’t make themselves out to be either, so in all honesty, I judge the ones keeping things inside more than I’d ever judge any honest, emotional outspoken person.
The truth is, keeping things bottled up can cause stress and that’s one thing we don’t need for a healthy lifestyle.
