Autumn 2012 Make-up Trends

Whether it is red lips or peacock eyes, colour is key this Fall where make-up is concerned and eyes really took centre stage during all Fashion Weeks.  Here is a round-up of the coolest make-up trends for this season that should offer something for everyone.

Red Lips – nowadays red lips are becoming somewhat a staple look and a go-to look for many.  Wear alone or with minimal make-up for maximum impact.  Scarlet lips are also set to be one of the key trends this winter so do experiment to find your perfect shade.

Eyeliner Flicks – the classic feline flick is given a modern twist this season. Take your pick from disconnected lines, couture sweeps, colourful and fun shapes or triangular flicks and be ready to rock this new trend.  Why not try a blue mascara for a more playful feel?

Big Brows – thanks to the bold jewelled brows at Chanel, this season, big brows are in (thankfully)! Try darkening or brushing up yours for the ultimate brow.

The Alternative Smoky Eye – while this is a signature autumn/winter trend, this year the smoky eye is either neutral or jewel toned. Think purples, greens and bronzes.

Ombre Lips – and lastly, the ombre trend doesn’t look like it will die anytime soon.  From hair and nails, this trend will now move on to lips for an arresting look.
