Sandro Zerafa will be teaming up with some of the most important musicians in the European jazz scene on the 3rd February at 8pm at Teatru Manoel.

Sandro will appear with bass player Yoni Zelnik, who can be heard with Avishai Cohen’s Triveni amongst others, Yonathan Avishai, currently touring with Omer Avital’s band, and Cuban drummer Lukmil Perez, who also performs with Jacky Terrasson, Giovanni Mirabassi and Jean Michel Pilc.

Sandro Zerafa is one of the most active guitarists in the Paris jazz scene. A graduate of the Lyons Conservatory, he has won several awards at the La Defense Jazz Contest and a founding member of the Parisian based jazz musicians’ collective and recording label, Paris Jazz Underground. He has recorded 3 award-winning albums as a leader and 14 albums as a side man. He has performed and recorded with established musicians such as Chico Buarque, Manu Katché, Joe Cohn, Youn Sun Nah, Sergio Krakowski, Rick Margitza and Logan Richardson amongst others. He has toured extensively worldwide, and he has been the artistic director of the Malta Jazz Festival since 2009.
