INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY
Auschwitz-Birkenau. Dachau. Sajmište. These are but a few of the camps that witnessed the slaughter of 6 million people during World War II.
The International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust was set up by the UN in 2005, in order to pay tribute to those who suffered at the hands of Nazi rule. This day serves us as a reminder that no human has the right to belittle or perish a life simply because of his/her beliefs or origin.
Lest we forget.
