CHRISTMAS MARKET AT SAN ANTON SCHOOL
The ever popular Christmas Market at San Anton School is back on the 27th November from 10.30am till 5pm – a festive fun day with a difference for the whole family.
Wooden stalls will be set up, where you’ll find everything you need for a perfect Christmas – from traditional decorations, gift-wrapping, home accessories. giftware, jewellery, wooden toys, advent calendars, Poinsettia and Holly plants, chocolates, children’s gifts, toys, gourmet foods, spices, festive treats, homemade jams, chutneys and many more original gifts and stocking fillers to impress your friends and family. Whilst you wander round the market, we guarantee the warm aroma of mulled wine, traditional imbuljuta, roasted chestnuts and freshly baked mince pies.
There will also be Santa’s Grotto, where the little ones will be able to meet Father Christmas himself, and children will also be performing in their own live crib, for which a wooden stable has been purposely built under a large Carob tree in the school picnic area. With the support of local farmers, this stable will also house live sheep, lambs and of course a donkey on the day itself to transform the area into a typical nativity scene.
Children visiting the market will be spoilt for choice as they can write their letter to Santa and participate in Christmas arts and crafts, storytelling and baking workshops. Bouncy castles and a Go-Cart track will also be a delight to experience on the day.
In order to ensure the festive spirit, all those present will be regaled with a performance by the cast of this year’s traditional Christmas Panto – Unbelieve It by the MADC. Visitors will get the opportunity to meet the actors and also purchase tickets for the local production.
Entrance is free. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
