Brian May and Kerry Ellis in Malta, 5th April 2014

As part of their The Candlelight Concerts tour, Brian May, guitarist of Queen fame, and Kerry Ellis, stage actress and singer, will be performing at St. George’s Square, Valletta on 5th April, 2014 at 8.30pmConcert prices range from 25 to 150 Euros.

The 66 year old musician and songwriter – who is also a Doctor of astrophysics, a passionate animal rights advocate and 3D stereoscopic photographic authority – released an acoustic album with Kerry Ellis in 2013. Acoustic by Candlelight: Live on The Born Free Tour includes songs written by Ellis and May; Queen; and Queen and Paul Rodgers.

The Born Free Tour was a series of concerts by Brian May and Kerry Ellis promoting the Born Free Foundation animal welfare charity work.

34 year old Kerry Ellis is a West End musical theatre actress and was an original London cast member in We Will Rock You. She was also Martine McCutcheon’s understudy in the role of Eliza Doolittle in 2001.

Brian May is listed at number 26 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s ‘100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’ and readers’ poll of Guitar World Magazine ranked him as the second greatest guitarist of all time.

May’s compositions for Queen include ‘Tie Your Mother Down‘, ‘Who Wants To Live Forever‘, ‘We Will Rock You‘. Among others he has collaborated with Eddie Van Halen, Black Sabbath and more recently with Lady Gaga on ‘You and I’.
