TOP MODEL WORLDWIDE 2017

The overwhelming and successful weekend for Top Model Worldwide came to a memorable end on the 17th March 2017.

While Lorraine Sultana had the privilege of judging Top Model UK in the Commercial Category, Top Model Malta 2016 Mia Vickery launched her first ever collection, Knots and Ties, at the Top Model Malta 2017. The collection was so well liked that the show’s director and producer invited her as a designer to launch her collection in London. This is a huge platform for an 18-year old who wishes to pursue her studies in Fashion Design.

Having also a British passport, Mia was invited back to participate this time round in Top Model UK in the Editorial category, after her last year’s success at the Worldwide finals where she was placed fourth and won the Best Beach Body Award. Mia was placed first runner up and also won the Self Style Costume Award.

It was the turn of Maria Ellul who on the 18th March walked down the runway wearing Omar Mansoor and Eva Grygo designer wear and a self-styled costume designed by Mariella Barbara. Maria was placed 4th, which was an exciting and emotional moment as it was a very tough competition.

The night finished off with the male’s world category with Neil Scerri participating. Neil Scerri had won Mister Supranational Malta 2016 and represented Malta in Poland in December 2016 with a 12th placing in the final. Mr Scerri was offered the possibility of participating in Top Model Worldwide, as this was a huge platform for exposure. He finished winning the final night and was also awarded the Photogenic Looks award.
