SOME SPRING SHOE TRENDS

There will soon be a spring to our step, thanks to the Spring shoe trends of 2016.

The new season is the perfect excuse to treat ourselves to some new pairs of shoes. Let us introduce you to some new spring designs that are essential for style and comfort.

Lace-ups

When in doubt, turn to court shoes. Their skinny heel and pointed toe render them beyond iconic, and it’s hard to go wrong with them. They’ve been given an innovative update this season with the addition of lace-ups. They require absolutely no styling whatsoever, which makes them easy to wear. Lace-up flats would also add the edgy factor to your look, especially if a bold choice of colour, such as red or mazarine blue, is made.

Block Heels

This style is the sliced bread of footwear. Those cursed with blister feet found sanctuary when these heels made a comeback last season. Chunky and heavy footwear is very much on trend right now, and their appeal is three-fold. This style is a success not just because of its 70s resonance, but also because it’s such an unbelievably comfortable style and also because it can be worn day and night without looking too dressy or too casual.

Fringes

We’ve been obsessed with everything fringed for a couple of seasons now. Since both fringes and suede still rule the runways and are a match made in heaven, 70s inspired fringed up suede sandals would be perfect for keeping your feet looking feminine. Pick these beauties up; they are on the right side of experimental and will certainly turn heads.

Mules

Here comes the block heel’s sister. Why do we love them? They are the perfect combination of form and function. They’re ideal for an office look… and you can just slip them off and very quickly back on again once your feet are under the desk, and they go perfectly with a pair of cigarette trousers and a jacket. They even do very nicely with denim for a casual style.

Fur Details

When brands sent their models with furry flats down the catwalk last year, the trend very quickly seeped into the high street stores. While this style may seem too extreme for some, we’re suggest experimenting with fluffy details. Faux fur trim will make any pair of shoes look cute, feminine and very much in the spirit of modern glamour. Fur additions look perfect with high heels.
