Here are five healthy ways that can help you lose weight simply by changing the food you eat, without going hungry!

Drink lots of water: I know you’ve heard this more times than you can count, but water really is an essential part of a healthy diet. A lot of the time our bodies confuse thirst with hunger, so a couple of glasses can stop you from snacking on crisps and chocolate. It’s also really very good for your skin too!

Eat little, often: Instead of eating three large meals a day, try eating small amounts of healthy food regularly throughout the day, as this helps balance your blood sugar levels and keeps your energy up.

Stop eating at night: We’re all guilty of pigging out on the sofa at the end of the day, but this can undo all your hard work. If you are feeling really peckish though, try eating grapes or some low calorie ice cream. It is always better to satisfy the craving sensibly rather than to let yourself become miserable because you’re hungry.

Switch carbs: It’s a common misconception that to lose weight you have to cut the carbs. Instead, ditch white carbs which are stripped of their goodness and eat wholegrain pasta, rice and bread instead. These will help you feel full for longer and keep your blood sugar levels stable.

Cut back on the sugars: A can of Coke has about 10 teaspoons of sugar in it, so swap the fizzy drinks for juice or milk. You’ll feel a lot better in the long run!
