False Eyelashes

There are so many false eyelashes on the market that one may feel uncertain as to which lashes one should use, and for which occasion.

Individual eyelashes or cluster eyelashes (those that have three or four strands of hair together) are ideal for party wear or to enhance bridal make-up. These types of eyelashes give a very natural look.

1. Individual eyelashes

This is how to apply them:

Take each cluster with a tweezers and apply a drop of eyelash glue to the bud of the cluster. Apply the eyelash cluster to the roots of your natural lashes, apply to the outer corner of your eye, about four or five clusters will be enough.

Strip full lashes are mainly used in photographic, catwalk or fantasy make-up. There are many different types of strip lashes, from the more natural ones to the full lashes, coloured ones, ones with feathers or diamantes, to mention a few examples.

2. Cluster eyelashes

This is how to apply them:

First measure the strip and cut to eye length, if excessively long. Then apply a very thin layer of eyelash glue to the whole strip at the end, wait a few seconds and stick to the roots of your lashes. Make sure that there is no space between your natural lashes and the false eyelashes.

If you have sensitive skin or have never worn false eyelashes before, try a patch test by applying a little eyelash glue to the back of your neck. Leave this for 48 hours and then check for an adverse reaction. If the area becomes itchy or red, you may be allergic to the product. Some people are allergic to latex.
