13. Godzilla | Release date: 16 May

This is an epic reboot to Toho’s iconic Godzilla – the adventure is being directed by Gareth Edwards and delves into an incredible mystery pitting the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures.

12. X-Men: Days Of Future Past | Release date: 23 May

Hopefully this time-travel story will help fix the continuity of the long-running franchise. Days of Future Past serves not only as a sequel to X-Men: First Class, but as a follow up to the original X-Men movie trilogy.

11. Maleficent | Release date: 30 May

The untold story of Disney’s iconic villain from the fairytale Sleeping Beauty. The trailer was extremely spectacular and Angelina Jolie is awesome as Maleficent.

10. Edge Of Tomorrow | Release date: 6 June

The tagline ‘Live, Die, Repeat’ popped in and out throughout the trailer. The Fiery explosions, ominous alien invasion imagery and action figure-style equipment present in the clip, establishes Cruise as an involuntary soldier who dies in a fight with aliens… stuck in a time-loop bringing him back to relive the same day over again… I’m sure it will be a fun film.

09. How To Train Your Dragon 2 | Release date: 4 July

I remember watching the first one with awe. It managed to offer the closest thing to flying while sitting in the cinema. Over four years have passed since the first installment and the trailer showcased an older, wiser Hiccup exploring with his faithful dragon, Toothless, beyond the borders of his village where he meets a strange dragon rider who turns his world upside down. It seems a war is brewing and the warriors of Berk Island are caught in the conflict. A fun and heartwarming animated film that is highly anticipated.

08. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes | Release date: 17 July

In the follow up we see a dystopia which takes place many years later after the catastrophic events of Rise Of The Planets Of The Apes. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes introduces a new cast of human characters to surround the scene-stealing Serkis as Caeser.

07. Jupiter Ascending | Release date: 25 July

Loaded with Matrix-style visuals, Jupiter Ascending looks like a rip-roaring adventure with an intergalactic hunter (Channing Tatum) with wolf DNA and a down-on-her-luck Russian cleaner (Mila Kunis) whose DNA conceals a grander destiny. Let’s hear it for the Wachowskis!!
