Joseph started acting at the age of 13. His first appearance on stage was at the Youth Centre of his hometown, Zejtun. Then at the age of 15, he decided to start playing basketball so he had to quit acting. But at the age of 23 he started acting again. “I can still remember one of the first productions I took part in which was a musical called ‘Scrooge’ produced by Teatru Rjal and I have to say that it was one of the highlights of my career. From then on I took part in several plays and musicals on stage like ‘Idejn il-Vjolinista’, ‘Is-Sigriet tal-Qrar’, ‘guzeppimattewcallus.com’, ‘Lejla Ebejer’, ‘Il-Hotbi ta’ Notre Dame’ to mention a few. Four years ago I joined the theatre group ‘Skene’, and I must say that I found my second family there”.

His first appearance on the local television was in ‘Shelly Rayner’ thanks to Mark Doneo. “From then on I did not look back and I took part in several television serials like ‘Il-Madonna tac-Coqqa’, ‘Is-Salib tal-Fidda’, ‘Marvin’, ‘Dellijiet’, ‘La Famiglia’, ‘D.R.E.A.M.S.’. I had a secondary part in a Maltese movie which was shown in local cinemas across Malta, it was called ‘Qerq’. I was nominated twice for the Malta TV Awards”, stated JOSEPH FENECH in his interview with RAMONA PORTELLI.

Your first priority is women or cars? And why?

Financially speaking, they are both very demanding!

Do you wear boxers or briefs?

I feel more comfortable in boxers.

Were you ever bullied as a kid?

I do not recall any situations of bullying when I was a kid.

What’s the best bargain you have ever made in your life?

It has to be my flat I guess.

What makes you angry?

People who judge others. Who are we to judge people?! Everyone has the right to live his own life the way he wants to and not the way others want you to, because after all if you live to please the others, everyone will love you, except yourself!

What’s your opinion about tattoos? Do you own any?

I consider tattoos a work of art. I do not have anything against those who get tattooed, after all it is your body and you can do whatever you like with it. I do not own any tattoos, sometimes it does cross my mind to get inked but I must admit that I am scared of getting one.
