Valentina Rossi - Photography Bernard Polidano

Where do you live:- St Julian’s

Star Sign:- Taurus

Main occupation:- Works in a family business and a sales assistant

Media-related occupation:- Model

Valentina Rossi always loved media and she was always involved in something related to television. She first started acting when she was 12 and had a lead part in the Maltese drama ‘Pupi’. She also did some acting abroad with ‘BBC’ in the series ‘Roman Mysteries 2’ – she had a small part as a blind girl which was really challenging to do, but she loved every part of it. Valentina then developed an interest in modelling. Her mum has her own agency, so Valentina grew up being around models. She started her modelling career five years ago, when she took part in ‘Venere’ – that was actually her very first serious experience and really thought her that modelling is not all glam and dresses and make-up – it takes a lot of determination and hard work to get a good final result and a lovely, artistic picture.

“I work really hard and I got rewarded  twice as the best female photo model of the year at the Malta Fashion Awards”, stated VALENTINA ROSSI in her introduction to this interview with RAMONA PORTELLI.

What’s your opinion about tattoos? Do you own one or more?

I don’t mind tattoos. Actually I really like artistic tattoos and when they have a meaning or a story behind it. I don’t have any tattoos on my body, but who knows maybe in the future I might think of doing a small one.

Were you ever bullied as a kid?

Well everyone has been picked on I think, but I wasn’t a really big target for the school bullies. I actually always tried to make friends with them. I’m an outgoing person, so I easily make friends.

What’s a hobby you spend most money on?

Cooking! I’m always buying cake ingredients and trying different food recipes.

What has been your most fulfilling achievement as a model?

As I mentioned before, I take modelling very seriously, so when I won the award last year it was a huge achievement for me. Now that I won the second award, I look forward to even more achievements.

What do you prefer:- boys or mobile phone? And why?

Sorry for all the guys reading this – but I wouldn’t live without my phone!
