How did you get involved with yoga?

I have been practicing yoga since 2002. My yoga tutor recognized my sincere interest and began giving particular attention to my training and education about yoga. I had never imagined myself as a teacher but my friends always backed me up, seeing the potential I had before I did. Eventually, friends began to ask me for informal yoga sessions and, following the opinion of my tutor, I began teaching.

Who can practice yoga?

Yoga is for everyone. One does not need to adjust his body before starting yoga practice; rather the yoga style should be adjusted by the instructor to fit the individual.

What are the benefits of practicing yoga?

Yoga helps you become more aware of your posture and alignment. It makes the body more flexible and fitter, more energetic, happier and peaceful.
After a yoga session, one of the first things you will notice, if you practice with care and attention, is a feeling of deep but alert relaxation when you have finished. With time and regular practice this relaxation that you feel at the end of the session will fill your life. You will become more and more relaxed within your everyday activities and within yourself.

Yoga requires commitment: commitment to practice on a regular basis. To be willing to try even when you feel worn out, to be open to whatever happens and to respond to what is actually happening and not to what you think should be happening. Yoga is about being true to the present moment.
When we practice yoga regularly, our body becomes like a barometer. We learn to notice and understand the signals that reflect our emotional, mental and spiritual states.
You begin to see yourself change, as you move closer to your true self and realize your inner strength
