Hair, make-up and nails are all very important aspects of your appearance that you need to take good care of everyday so you look your best on special occasions.  This short article will take you through some different styles and nail looks you can opt for this party season.

  • Starting with hair, if you have long hair that you usually wear up, try leaving it down and instead of drying it poker straight, go for full-on bouncy curls for some serious volume. To achieve the look, spray damp hair with a volume booster and blow-dry. Subsequently, tong hair with a medium-sized curling iron pulling the hair down the barrel. Brush hair out and finish with hair spray. To add a sparkly festive touch, try an embellished headband.  Likewise, if you always wear your hair down, have your hair stylist put it in a chic up-do. Short hair? Worry not! Just pin a sparkly fascinator to the side of your hair and you’re done! (image1)
  • While red lips seem to be the look to sport in December, you can always go for fuchsia tones for a dramatic pout or else, play up your eyes with a colourful smoky eye and tone the look down with a nude lip. Don’t forget false eyelashes for extra impact! (image2&3)
  • Finally, let’s talk nails. Deep cranberry hues are a firm favourite when it comes to festive nails. Glam up your look by layering some chunky gold glitter polish over your red base. Alternatively, try the same look with different colour combinations. Better yet, if you’re into nail art, deck out your nails with boughs of holly or apply some white nail polish with a makeup sponge over the tips of your nails to make it look like snow, or try your hand at drawing some snowflakes!
